The Peony Store
Planting & Care
Welcome to Dragonfly Peony Farm!
In an enchanting and whimsical forested Sierra foothill setting, overlooking the Mokelumne river in Wilseyville, Ca., Julia Moore operates Dragonfly Peony Farm, one of only a handful of Peony farms in the entire state. Julia's "Coral Charm" Peony has taken best-of-show twice in recent years at the Calaveras County Fair and other varieties have won multiple blue ribbons. Among gardeners and landscapers there is a growing awareness of the Peony: a lovely old-fashioned, cold-hardy plant that produces large, flamboyant flowers each spring and carries a legacy dating back to ancient China. Colors range from pure white to varying shades of pink, lavender, yellow, coral and red.
